Renaissance-Inspired Botticelli Waves Have Arrived Just in Time for Summer

Strolling through a local art museum may be just as beneficial for hairstylists as keeping up with the latest runway trends. Botticelli waves, coined by hairstylist Tom Smith, give a nod to Renaissance painter Sandro Botticelli’s ethereal paintings, including the “The birth of Venus” painted around 1484. More than 500 years later, Venus is making waves (no pun intended) on red carpets and social media—just in time for summer 2022.
